Jack fruit 500g
About the product:
The jackfruit is a species of tree in the fig, mulberry, and breadfruit family. A jackfruit is large with a green or yellow and spiky rind; it has thick, yellow flesh and edible seeds and pods. The flesh has a sweet, distinctive flavour, which some describe as a cross between banana and pineapple. It’s used ripe and unripe. Ripe jackfruit has a very chewy, stringy texture and unique, tropical flavour with a sweet taste (depending on variety) and is more often used for various desserts or to eat raw. Whereas unripe or young green jackfruit is off-white in colour and almost neutral in flavour. Due to its fibrous texture, it’s used as a low-carb, vegan meat substitute for sweet or savoury dishes, it’s also used to make other delicious dishes in its own.
Storage:
The cut fruit should be stored in the refrigerator and can be kept for up to five to six days.
